The Opportunity

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading technology organisation as they seek to appoint a Full Stack Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established software business currently undertaking a large-scale modernisation programme, migrating a portfolio of public-facing web applications from legacy technologies to a modern React-based architecture.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative development team working on the evolution of an established component library and helping deliver scalable, high-quality web applications. This role offers the opportunity to work across both backend and frontend technologies while contributing to long-term product improvements and modern engineering practices.

The Role

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will work as part of a close-knit development team responsible for delivering and maintaining modern web applications used by a wide customer base.

You'll primarily work with C#/.NET on the backend while contributing to React-based frontend development, collaborating closely with experienced engineers to build reusable components, improve development efficiency and support the ongoing migration to modern technologies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining full stack web applications using C#/.NET and React
• Contributing to the ongoing migration of legacy applications to modern technologies
• Building and enhancing reusable React components and frontend functionality
• Developing scalable backend services and APIs
• Working closely with developers and technical leads to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Supporting continuous improvement across development processes and engineering practices
• Collaborating with the wider engineering team on technical design and solution delivery

What You Need

• 3+ years commercial experience developing applications using C#/.NET
• Exposure to React or a strong desire to develop React expertise
• Experience working across both backend and frontend development
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience working with SQL databases
• TypeScript experience would be advantageous
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Passion for building modern, scalable software solutions

Interview Process

• Single-stage, in-person interview
• Short technical exercise covering JavaScript, SQL, C#, CSS and HTML
