IT Support Engineer (Level 1 / Junior Level 2)

Salary: £28,000-£32,000 (DOE)

About the Role
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Managed Service Provider looking to add an IT Support Engineer to its growing technical support team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-3 years' IT support experience who enjoys working directly with customers and wants to continue developing their technical skills within an MSP environment.
The role focuses primarily on Level 1 support while offering gradual exposure to Level 2 responsibilities as your experience grows.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support to customers via phone, email and remote support tools.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and Microsoft 365 issues.
- Support Windows desktop environments.
- Manage and update support tickets.
- Escalate more complex technical issues where appropriate.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working to agreed SLAs.
- Assist with user account administration and basic Microsoft 365 administration.
- Build technical knowledge through exposure to Level 2 support activities.
What We're Looking For
- 1-3 years' experience in an IT Support or Helpdesk role.
- MSP experience is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Someone who enjoys providing hands-on technical support and working as part of a collaborative team.
Desirable Skills
- Active Directory
- Microsoft 365 Administration
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Azure fundamentals
- Basic server administration
