Design Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Design Manager for our client, a leading main contractor delivering commercial, healthcare, education and residential projects across the UK and Ireland.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong project pipeline, taking ownership of the design process on major construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design process from tender to project completion
• Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project teams
• Monitor design programmes and ensure key milestones are met
• Resolve design issues and ensure compliance with regulations
• Review drawings and technical submissions for buildability
• Support value engineering and project delivery

About You

• Experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry
• Main contractor experience on large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and building regulations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
