Database & Software Development Engineer

MCS Group is partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Database & Software Development Engineer for their growing technology team on a permanent basis.

This is a broad technical role suited to someone who enjoys working across SQL, ERP systems, automation, integrations, and software development within a hands-on business environment.

(On-site 5 days - County Monaghan/Louth)

The role will involve:

• Supporting and optimising SQL Server environments
• Developing SQL scripts, stored procedures, and reports
• Supporting and enhancing ERP systems and integrations
• Building automation solutions using PowerShell
• Developing internal applications and APIs using technologies such as C# and JavaScript
• Working closely with operational and business teams across the organisation

What we're looking for:

• SQL Server administration and development experience
• Experience with reporting, query optimisation, and database performance
• Some software development experience with C#, VB.NET, Java, or JavaScript
• Experience with APIs and systems integrations
• Exposure to ERP systems in manufacturing or industrial environments would be highly beneficial
• Full Irish Driving Licence & unrestricted right to work (no visa sponsorship is available for this position)

Nice to have:

• Manufacturing ERP experience
• Azure / Azure DevOps exposure
