The company is entering an exciting phase of growth following recent acquisitions, the launch of new product ranges, and significant investment in its customer offering. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional to join a highly successful organisation that genuinely values its people. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting continued growth across the UK market.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through a combination of inbound enquiries and proactive outbound sales activity
- Respond to trade applications, onboard new customers, and establish long-term customer relationships
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities to increase spend and maximise account potential
- Present product solutions and commercial proposals to key decision-makers
- Develop quotations and proposals tailored to customer requirements
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to secure new business opportunities
- Identify cross-selling opportunities across an extensive product portfolio
- Work closely with Area Sales Managers to support ongoing account management and business development activity
- Achieve agreed sales, revenue, and customer acquisition targets while delivering exceptional levels of service
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 2 years' experience within a sales, business development, account management, or customer service environment
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Experience working towards sales targets and performance-based KPIs
- Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Grade C or above in English and Maths
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within manufacturing, construction, interiors, building products, home improvement, or related sectors
- Previous experience managing customer accounts and growing customer spend
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, quotations, and commercial negotiations
- Familiarity with high-volume sales environments and KPI-driven performance cultures
