Assistant Accountant 12-Month FTC

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation operating within the energy and utilities sector to recruit an Assistant Accountant on a full-time fixed-term (12-month) basis.

The Role:

Reporting into a Senior Accountant and the wider finance team, the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of month-end journals including accruals, prepayments, reallocations.
  • Completion of a wide range of P&L and BS reconciliations, including variance analysis.
  • Extraction and analysis of data from the billing system.
  • Cash flow analysis & forecasting.
  • Assist in internal & external audits
  • Other duties as outlined in the full job description

The Person:

The successful Assistant Accountant will meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Demonstrable experience in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Accounting Technician qualification and/or partial professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
