IT Infrastructure Engineer (Networks)

MCS Group is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for Networks to join one of their clients, a high-growth IT managed service provider in the Dublin area. Established for many years, they have a sound reputation for their customer service and their investment in technologies and count a huge number of organisations throughout Ireland as long-term customers. This role is the perfect opportunity for an IT Support Engineer who is ambitious and sees themselves long-term in getting heavily involved in projects, technical architecture and design and specialising in networks.

This is a client facing, hybrid working role (3 days in, 2 days from home) based in Dublin

The Role

The Infrastructure Engineer will join an small team of 7 dedicated to supporting a wide ranging customer base.

You'll specialise in working on network infrastructure troubleshooting and projects; from routing and switching, to network design and installation, to Wifi, connectivity and firewalls.

You'll act as a point of escalation for network issues for the wider team, and get involved in high level project work in a fast-paced, delivery focused role.

The Person

You'll have a solid background in IT Technical Support covering IT Infrastructure, with exposure to troubleshooting and supporting the following: O365, Exchange, Active Directory and VMWare.

You'll be passionate about networking and have previous experience to troubleshooting and supporting firewalls, VPNs, LAN and WAN technologies and Cisco, Fortinet or Juniper products.

Ideally you'll have prior experience of working within an IT managed service provider.

Salary

Up to €70,000 depending on experience plus benefits.
