Mid & East Antrim Borough Council - Provision of Employment Agency Services

Following a competitive public procurement exercise, MCS Group have been selected as a supplier for Agency Workers for all senior management and specialist posts in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council - Provision of a Range of Recruitment Services

Following our success across the public sector, MCS Group have been selected as an approver supplier for the Temporary Recruitment of Specialist Roles including HR, IT, Environmental Health, Finance across Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.

Translink - Framework for the Provision of End-to-End Recruitment Services for Infrastructure and Projects Division

In 2023, following a competitive public procurement exercise MCS Group were selected as the lead supplier for the Provision of End-to-End Recruitment Services for Infrastructure and Projects across Translink. MCS Group will provide permanent and fixed term contract recruitment solutions to support the Infrastructure and Projects division, will require a variety of technical roles to fulfil a programme of capital and maintenance works.


NI Water - Employment Agency Contract

In 2023, MCS Group were appointed as the top ranked supplier for IT, Finance, Procurement, Scientific, Engineering & Project Management and HR & Legal under NI Water’s Employment Agency Contract. MCS Group will provide a range of permanent and interim recruitment solutions including Permanent hiring, Temporary Agency Workers and Fixed Term Contracts.


Northern Ireland Assembly

In 2021, following a competitive public procurement exercise MCS Group was selected as an approved supplier by the Northern Ireland Assembly to supply temporary workers as part of their Corporate Plan. The professional/specialist roles provided by MCS Group are essential to the delivery of the key projects and priorities contained within the Corporate Plan.

    Mairead Scott, Managing Director has over 25 years’ experience in recruiting across the Public Sector and has overseen the delivery of some of the largest contracts locally, including Northern Ireland Civil Service, Belfast City Council, and North Down and Ards Borough Council throughout her career.

    Having identified significant gaps in the existing framework models (in terms of service delivery, turnaround times, quality of candidates, and a partnership approach which leads to a deep understanding of specific department or organisational needs), Mairead identified a real demand in the market for a recruitment partner who would take a fresh approach to providing recruitment solutions to the public sector.

    Louise is one of the most experienced  recruitment professionals and trainers in the UK and Ireland. With 29 years’ experience in the people and talent industry,  she jointly owns and runs MCS Group, the largest specialist recruitment firm in Northern Ireland.

    A fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, she has worked with a diverse range of clients from Public Bodies, SMEs, Multinationals, and new start-ups supporting them through growth and achieving success through the recruitment and retention of their people. Louise advises boards on talent attraction and best-in-class recruitment processes and workforce planning.

  • JAMIE BROWN

    Introducing Jamie, an accomplished IT Temporary and Contract Consultant, dedicated to Public and Third Sector IT Temporary Contracts. Her expertise spans various skill sets such as first-line support, data analytics, program management, and Senior IT Management. In addition, Jamie also has a degree in History. Outside of her professional pursuits, Jamie finds delight in music production, and the loyal companionship of her dog Harvey, and gets lost in a good book.
