Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager - Belfast

MCS Group are looking for a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to join a well established accountancy practice in the Belfast area.

Our client is a well-established accountancy practice in the Belfast area. They provide a range of services from Accounts, Audit, Taxation, Corporate Finance etc. to an array of clients across NI, UK & ROI. Due to continued growth, now is a great time to join the company as they look to add a Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager to their team.

The Role:

As the successful Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager you will have the following responsibilities:

• Supervision and preparation of year-end accounts for a wide range of clients
• Preparation of associated Tax computations and returns (Previous tax experience not essential)
• Involvement in ad-hoc work projects such as client transactions, M&A, raising finance and more
• Training and overseeing junior team members
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships

The Person:

The successful Senior Accountant/Assistant Manager will meet the following criteria:

• Newly Qualified (ACA/ACCA) or Qualified by experience
• 1-2 years post qualified experience for Assistant Manager role
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice
• Previous experience in a varied role is advantageous
• Experience in various accounting softwares (Xero, Quickbooks)
