The Company

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a well-established Accountancy Practice that provides a variety of financial services, including accounts, audit, business support, tax, corporate finance and payroll. They work with primarily small and medium-sized businesses from a range of industries such as solicitors, property developers, farmers, and the medical profession. This is a lively and friendly team with Partners who are big believers in providing both flexibility and additional training to their staff. 

The Role:

As the successful Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• General Accounting role - No audit involved
• Managing a varied portfolio of clients
• Accounts (management and statutory), VAT returns, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Tax (Personal and Corporate)
• Working with a wide range of clients
• Potential for training juniors
• Managing and building client relationships

The Person:

The successful Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• Qualified (ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or Qualified by experience
• Previous experience in a practice role
• Previous experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Experience using Xero is desired but not essential
