Project Engineering Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Projects Engineering Manager for our successful client based in Carrickfergus. Our client has expanded steadily to include multiple manufacturing facilities across Japan, China, USA, Mexico, Thailand, and Europe. They are a world-class supplier of high-quality, technically complex automotive components.

As the Projects Engineering Manager you will:

• Be responsible for the management of the Project Department
• Champion company NPI introduction from concept through to the start of production
• Support Engineering, process, and machinery/tooling improvement activities, cost reductions, productivity improvements, and part quality improvements
• Create, manage and maintain the company Capital expenditure planning, including COR approval and purchase orders
• Supporting the Business Development group with technical resources and planning to secure new business via RFQ process and customer meetings

You will have:

• Third-level qualification in an engineering / technical discipline
• Previous project management experience, ideally within a manufacturing engineering environment
