Job Description
MCS Group is delighted to be assisting a key client source an interim Financial Accountant - Global Manufacturing firm.
Immediate need. Maternity Cover.
Hybrid role (after successful completion of probation period)

Position Details
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the preparation and reporting of monthly Management Accounts
- Preparation of month end financial information to ensure that the 4 day close is achieved, including review and reconciliation of month end information for 2 MP Aftermarkets locations
- Preparation and collation of data for Weekly Global Scorecard meeting
- Assist with Preparation and input of Annual Operating Plan & monthly/quarterly Forecasts, including assisting departmental managers with their individual departmental Operating Plan.
- Upload all AOP and Forecasts to Corporate Financial system (OneStream) and reconcile back to Finance records to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee all aspects of Inventory control in relation to cycle counting, and/or physical inventory counts, review variances, prepare Cycle count KPI's and attend cycle counts as a financial auditor.
- Assist the Financial Controller in the writing of Control Validation Document processes, perform "walk through" tests on Standard Operation Processes and perform SOX Internal auditing tests of these Procedures to ensure continued Compliance.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors providing any information required.
- As part of the annual standard cost setting process; review new standards, indepth assessment of impact on the business, discuss variances with supply chain, upload to TMS.
- Assist the Financial Controller in all aspects of Financial management as the need arises.
- Attend meetings where financial input is required and deputise for the Financial Controller at meetings when required

About you
Experience Level & Required Qualifications:
- IATI or part qualified CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
- Experience in month-end reporting
- Demonstrate excellent Microsoft office skills especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with the ability to present information to a variety of audiences.
- The ability to work overtime if the need arises, prioritise and thrive under pressure in a fast moving business meeting tight deadlines
- Experience of working with Oracle or other ERP system would be an advantage.
- Ability to work in a team and on own initiative as the need arises
