Job Description
MCS Group has been chosen to partner with a multi-award-winning Northern Irish organisation, as they look to introduce a new HR Officer to their team on a Fixed-term basis for the duration of 9-12 months. You will be joining a NI Top 100 Company who have gone from strength to strength over recent years, seeing the business expand, opening new sites while working with a wide range of exciting brands.
Your new Job:
This role will provide HR Generalist support to the company owned estate, including assisting the HR Business Partners with other cross functional tasks, such as HR projects. On a day-to-day basis, the HR Officer will be involved in all areas of HR including - Recruitment and Selection, Employee Relations, Learning and Development, and general administration. Key areas include -
- Act as a Point of Contact for all managers and provide advice and guidance to managers regarding HR Policies and procedures.
- Coordinate all Learning and Development.
- Manage the employee relations process by supporting in all Disciplinary and Grievance procedures.
- Be hands-on in Performance and Absence Management.
- Coordinate employee engagement.
This role gives successful candidates the opportunity to travel across different NI Sites.
What you'll need:
Essential:
- CIPD membership
- Full driving license with access to a car
- Minimum of 3 years previous experience within a Human Resource function
- Proven project management skills and significant success in process design
- Substantial experience in reviewing, redesigning, and implementing high volume transactional HR processes
- Previous experience of HR information systems
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and in particular Excel
- Up to date knowledge of NI employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisational skills
- Strong influencing skills
- Good listening skills
Desirable:
- A 3rd level qualification in related subject
- Previous HR experience gained within a retail/wholesale/multi-site environment
- Knowledge of ROI employment legislation
