Finance Assistant

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a charity based organisation based in Belfast to recruit for a Finance Assistant on a part time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work 22.5 hours a week (3 days) with 1 day working in the office, 2 from home!

The Job Role:

The Finance and admin assistant will support members of the organisation on matters related to financial operations and general admin tasks.

Reporting to the Head of Finance general duties include:

Purchase ledger

• Perform all necessary roles in the accounts payable process - using the online purchase ordering and accounts payable tools

Sales ledger

• Generating customer invoicing ad and when required
• Follow up on outstanding debtors

Nominal ledger

• Assist in month end preparations and year end preparation as and when required
• Assist with the maintenance of the general ledger records

Bank Accounts

• Create weekly online bank payments, accurately and on time

Administration

• Prepare information for occasional claims for funding bodies as required

What You Need to Succeed?

• GCSE/ equivalent in maths & English
• One years experience using an accountancy package
• Experience of assisting in preparation of financial information
• Experience of processing income and expenditure
