Field Service Engineer

MCS Group is very proud to partner with a long standing Managed Services Provider who are expanding their Support team in Tipperary and are seeking a Field Service Engineer. Our client specialises in delivering cutting-edge digital solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. Renowned for their commitment to excellence, rooted in technical proficiency and an intimate understanding of client requirements, they are now seeking a Field Service Engineer with a keen focus and history with everything revolved around servers.
In this role, our partner is in search of a Field Service Engineer with a proven history of orchestrating on-site deployments to propel their enterprise to new heights. The great thing is, once you're familiar with the client list and expectations from client side, you can work fully remote. This should only take a couple of months to be familiar with this client list and their requirements.

Responsibilities for our next Field Service Engineer:

• You will also be tasked with deploying, configuring, and sustaining client software, such as MS 365 and Azure, virtual environments, Hyper V, VMWare, Veeam, and various communication tools like switches, routers, firewalls, and mobile devices.
• Deftly addressing and resolving challenges on-site and remotely
• Overseeing client accounts and ensuring their seamless management
• Imparting knowledge and conducting training sessions for clients
• Efficiently managing communication and coordination with external vendors

What my client are looking for as their next Field Service Engineer:

• A degree in computer science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Proven experience in server deployment/migration and administration, inclusive of virtual environments (Hyper V, VMWare, Veeam)
• A solid understanding of firewalls, routers, switches, and remote server access
• A background in a technical consultancy or on-field specialist position, demonstrating competence in on-site setups, configurations, and the ongoing maintenance of client hardware
• Fundamental familiarity with MS365, including Azure.
