Assistant Accountant

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established company based in Belfast to recruit for an Assistant Accountant on a full time, permament basis.

The Role:

As an Assistant Accountant you will be providing financial support for all areas of the business including operational, financial and divisional management when required.

Daily Duties Include:

• Supporting Accountants and centralised finance teams with the production of accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with group policies and procedures which are to be submitted in agreement with group reporting deadlines
• Completing Manufacturer composite submission in conjunction with accountants for all brands
• Finalising key monthly balance sheet reconciliations to support in the production of management accounts. Including but not limited to accruals and prepayments, service plans, key supplier reconciliations, vehicle buy in and settlement accounts
• Carrying out cost base analysis to support financial and operational management teams
• Fulfilling corporation tax analysis on a monthly basis
• Supporting divisional Head Office with the accurate running of the centralised finance team.
• Ensuring that assistance is given to internal auditors, Head Office finance, Business Information, Insurance, Compliance and Payroll teams for the purposes of providing information for management and statutory information
