The Company

MCS Group are delighted to be working with a well-established Accountancy Practice that provides a variety of financial services, including accounts, audit, business support, tax, corporate finance and payroll. They work with primarily small and medium-sized businesses from a range of industries such as solicitors, property developers, farmers, and the medical profession. This is a lively and friendly team with Partners who are big believers in providing both flexibility and additional training to their staff. 

The Role

Our client is looking to strengthen their team with a qualified Accounts Technician or Part-Qualified Accountant. The duties of the role will include:

• Accounts (management and statutory), VAT returns, Bank Reconciliations, Bookkeeping, Tax (Personal and Corporate)
• Exposure working with a wide portfolio of clients
• Assisting on Audit
• Getting exposure to all areas of practice
• Developing client relationships

The Person

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Previous Practice experience with exposure to a variety of areas and clients
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting softwares, primarily Sage and Xero
• Have previous client facing experience
• Have the ability to build client relationships
• Desire to learn and develop your career
