Senior Accountant

MCS Group are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join a leading insurance business based in Belfast.

The Company:

Our client is a leading insurance business based in Belfast with multiple offices across the globe. They are an industry-leading acquirer and reinsurer of legacy and discontinued insurance. Now is an exciting time to be joining the company as they looking to a Senior Accountant to their growing Belfast team.

The Role:

As the successful Senior Accountant, you will be reporting to the Finance Director and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Lead the monthly management accounts process;
• Process improvement, working with senior leaders to implement new processes and automate processes;
• Preparation of Board packs;
• System implementation;
• Other duties as outlined in the full job description.

The Person:

The successful Senior Accountant will have the following characteristics:

• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent;
• Open to practice or industry background;
• Knowledge of US GAAP;
• Strong communication skills.
