R&D Tax Manager - Belfast

MCS Group are looking for an R&D Tax Manager to join a well established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Belfast.

This firm is a well-established accountancy practice based in Belfast. They provide a range of services including Audit, Accounts, Corporate Finance, Tax & Payroll to a wide range of clients across NI, ROI, and the US. Now is a brilliant time to join the company, as they look to add an R&D Tax Manager to their growing team.

• £40k-£55k base salary plus £2k sign on bonus;

The Role:

As the successful R&D Tax Manager you will be responsible for the following:

• Take a lead role in managing client engagements, overseeing R&D and Creative Industry Tax Relief claims from inception to submission.
• Apply a strong technical background in R&D Tax Relief and Creative Industry Tax Reliefs to deliver accurate, compliant claims.
• Liaise with technical industry specialists and HM Revenue & Customs as required.
• Collaborate with clients and internal accounting teams to gather, analyse, and validate information to support tax claims.
• Organise and deliver educational seminars and training sessions for clients and staff to promote understanding of Innovation Taxes.

The Person:

The successful R&D Tax Manager will meet the following criteria:

• ACA or CTA qualified with 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
• Open to strong ATT candidates
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in Innovation Taxes.
• Proven ability to interact and collaborate with other technical professionals.
• Excellent organisational skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in Excel, able to present concise summaries of complex information.
