QA Tester

MCS Group is delighted to announce an exclusive opportunity for a driven QA Engineer to join a successful growing Irish tech scale-up on a contract basis for 9 months as they seek to maintain the testing function within the business while a team member is on leave.

(Work From Home / Fully Remote within Ireland)

The Role:

• Embedding yourself in one of the scrum teams working closely with development and product teams to understand project requirements and specifications establishing the testing functionality across the team.
• Design and write clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Execute manual tests to identify defects, track issues, and ensure the overall quality of the software.
• Report and document bugs, errors, and anomalies encountered during testing, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
• Develop a deep understanding of our software products and their use cases to ensure end-to-end testing coverage.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of QA processes, procedures, and best practices.
• Under guidance and dedicated time with the company CTO, growing your skills across Automation as the team begins to establish automation practices across the business through tools like Cypress.js, PHPUnit or Selenium.

The Person:

• Previous professional experience as a Manual/Automation QA.
• Strong proficiency in designing and writing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, procedures.
• Detail-oriented and highly analytical mindset to identify and troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Experience with Xray strongly preferred
• Prior experience in automation testing, even on a basic level, will be considered a huge bonus.

Onboarding on-site in North Dublin area and then fully remote.

Rates - 200-250 per day
