HR Business Partner

MCS Group are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a respected public sector organisation in Belfast on a 6-month temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional to work in a strategic partnering role, supporting senior leaders and managers across a range of HR priorities within a complex public sector environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a strategic HR partner to senior managers and leadership teams

• Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning

• Support organisational change and transformation initiatives

• Contribute to HR strategy, policy development, and implementation

• Lead and support complex case management, including grievance, disciplinary, and absence management

• Support learning, development, and talent initiatives

• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and public sector HR policies

Essential Criteria:

• Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or senior HR advisory role

• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

• Experience operating within complex organisational environments

• CIPD Level 5 qualification and current membership
