Finance and Corporate services Manager

The Role will consist of:

• Leading on the preparation of annual accounts
• Responsible for day-to-day operation of financial systems including regular timely financial reports
• Review and update financial policies, procedures and controls as necessary
• Act as key contact to ensure corporate reporting and IT policies are met
• Engage and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
• Act as point of contact for internal and external audit
• Develop and maintain procurement policy and strategy
• Oversee tendering and act as contract manager
• Ensure appropriate facilities management arrangements are in place
• Work with managers to ensure health and safety arrangements are in place
• Identify relevant training and development opportunities for team members
• Provide leadership, management, accountability , support and guidance to the team

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• Experience of corporate governance and risk management
• Experience supporting development of bids for resources
• Experience of liaison and engagement with funders
• Experience in public sector procurement
• Experience managing a team
• Involvement in the preparation of accounts to public sector standards
• Experience in the use of financial IT systems
• Have 2 years experience in the preparation of all aspects of public sector annual resource accounts

Desirable:

• Have successfully completed exams and be a full current member of a relevant accounting body
