Cloud Network Engineer

MCS Group is excited to be partnering with an innovative technology company in their search for a Network Engineer with exposure to working within and supporting cloud network environments. The Network Engineer will work remotely in Ireland with a strong focus on Cloud. Whether it's personally designing or implementing Cloud Networks, the team here at MCS Group are eager to have a conversation with you. This position involves the project work and upkeep of worldwide network operations, covering multiple locations and geographies, data centres, and cloud environments.

The Role

• The Network Engineer will join a small team with a huge reach covering WAN technologies, Cloud networking (Azure, OCI, or AWS), routing, switching and VPNs.
• You'll design and Support enterprise wireless networks.
• Troubleshoot network related queries.
• Maintain documentation to a high calibre.
• Formulate and execute network strategies for the migration of On-Prem infrastructure and applications to Cloud providers.
• Be a strong self-starter with a proven track record of showing initiative in a commercial setting through previous employers.
• Be able to provide efficient solutions and ideas to improve business function.
• Be flexible to work a rotating on call schedule.

Qualifications and or Experience needed to be our next Network Engineer:

• Minimum of 3 years in a commercial setting working on/with switching and Cisco routing.
• Certified in Cisco CCNP level or (studying towards this with CCNA).
• Extremely proficient with Cisco ASA firewall configuration and deployment.
• Heavy experience in network cloud design, support and operations.
• Proficiency in LAN design/implementation with WAN technologies & a strong focus on Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network, Open Shortest Path First, Border Gateway Protocol, Multiprotocol Label Switching.
