MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an established Top 10 Practice located in Belfast, looking to recruit for a Audit Senior on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

A professional services firm based in Northern Ireland operates as part of a wider network across Ireland, employing over 2,700 staff across 10 offices. The firm provides a broad range of services including audit, accounting, corporate finance, forensic analysis, tax, and payroll support. It was recently acquired by a U.S.-based member firm within the same global network, significantly expanding its international reach and client base.

Job Duties of the Audit Senior include:

• Prepare statutory accounts and financial statements in compliance with relevant standards
• Serve as a technical resource on IFRS and UK GAAP, providing training and producing internal/external technical updates
• Support the development and maintenance of key client relationships
• Plan and conduct audits across a range of industries and business sectors
• Design and implement tailored audit strategies and plans
• Ensure timely completion of assignments within budget constraints
• Lead and manage teams of trainees during audit engagements
• Mentor and support the professional development of junior staff

What you need to be the Successful Audit Senior

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent)
• Strong technical knowledge and audit expertise
• Extensive experience leading audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative
• Ambitious, with a clear focus on developing a long-term career in practice
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
