Trainee Accountant

MCS Group is delighted to partner with a FMCG organisation to recruit a Trainee Accountant on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

Our client is a leading retail company based in Belfast and have multiple offices and sites across NI, ROI and Europe. They have a range of business units that provide multiple services and products to their global customers base. Now is a great time to be joining the company as they look to add a Management Accountant to one of their business units.

The Role of Trainee Accountant:

• Completing Weekly Sales Reporting
• Reviewing Weekly KPI report and Profit & Loss Account
• Reviewing weekly reports on payroll spends in stores and post office branches and analysing variances versus targets
• Detailed analysis of the intercompany accounts and completion of reconciliations for the monthly management accounts
• Working with the accounts team to complete monthly management accounts. Providing insight to the store managers and operations team on key variances
• Providing insightful commentary on the weekly reports to drive the business
• Completing monthly overhead trackers for dissemination to the business
• Reporting on capital expenditure to key budget holders

What You Need to Succeed?

• Part Qualified Accountant
• Experience working in a finance role
• Ability to plan & prioritise workloads
