A successful NI-founded technology firm that is helping to transform the future of energy is now in the market to hire a skilled Trading Analyst to join their Belfast trading department and to report into the organisation's Head of Trade.

This is a new, full-time permanent job opportunity that would suit an experienced candidate coming from a front or middle-office background within the energy sector, affording you the chance to seriously contribute to the firm's long-term strategic goals.

The Rewards:

• £45,000 - £60,000 base salary

• Hybrid working (3 days p/week in Belfast office)

The Role:

As Trading Analyst, you will play a key role in:

• Identifying new trading opportunities to enable the group to meet commercial targets and increase revenue
• Provision of real-time insight and management of portfolio via the firm's automated platform
• Monitoring of trading performance, contributions to regular reporting
• Collaborating with trading teams to assist in managing collateral position
• Investigation of market nuances, sharing relevant findings with department
  

The Person:

The successful Trading Analyst will meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role within energy market is essential
• Degree level education in relevant field of study (Mathematics, Economics, Finance or similar)
• Highly analytical with exceptional communication skills
• Cross-collaboration skills - ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members
