Tax Specialist - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well established Practice based in Belfast , looking to recruit for a Tax Specialist on a full time, permanent basis.

The Company:

A growing Belfast-based Practice is seeking a Tax Specialist to support continued expansion. The role involves overseeing key tax deadlines, reviewing compliance, and coordinating tax advice across areas such as M&A, private equity, and IHT. The team values development, a strong work/life balance, and operates a no-overtime culture with offices closing at 1pm every Friday.

Job Duties of the Tax Specialist Include:

• Compliance/Advisory (60/40)
• Personal tax
• R&D tax
• Involved in a broad range of work, including delivering high-quality corporate tax advisory services to businesses and providing tax advice to individuals. This includes M&A transactional support, Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning, and corporate tax matters.

What You Need to be the Successful Tax Specialist?

• Appropriate UK professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CTA/ATT)
• Committed to delivering exceptional client service with a proactive and client-focused approach.
• A self-motivated professional with experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
• Skilled in reviewing personal and corporate tax compliance, including for corporate groups.
• Significant tax experience.
• Strong Personal and Corporate tax experience
• Strong organisational skills
• Experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
• Self-motivated
