Staff Product Designer - Belfast

The company partners with large enterprise organisations and ecosystem platforms, providing a scalable technology layer that enables faster decision-making, improved user experience, and more efficient operations. Their product combines self-service tooling, data-driven workflows, and AI-powered capabilities to modernise traditionally manual processes.

Following recent significant investment, the business has made a brand-new foreign direct investment (FDI) into Belfast, establishing a growing product and engineering presence in the city. Alongside this expansion, they are investing heavily in AI and GenAI initiatives, with design playing a central role in shaping both the product roadmap and long-term platform strategy.

Role Overview

This is a Lead / Staff-level Product Designer role, positioned as a senior individual contributor with strong leadership influence.

You'll own the end-to-end design process for key initiatives, acting as the sole designer on those streams, while bringing cross-functional teams together to deliver high-quality, scalable product design with real strategic impact.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the full product design lifecycle, from discovery through delivery
• Conduct user research, including interviews and usability testing
• Partner closely with Product Owners and Engineers on defined initiatives
• Lead design reviews and facilitate stakeholder feedback
• Showcase work and influence design direction across teams
• Act as a Staff Designer, providing mentorship and design leadership

Team & Reporting

• Belfast-based product team with organic growth plans
• Design team currently includes a Lead Designer and Senior Designer, with further hiring planned
• No formal people management initially, but strong mentorship responsibilities

Tools & Skills

Must-have:

• Strong experience with Figma
• Proven user research experience (interviews, usability testing)

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with AI-assisted design tools
• Strong interest in AI-driven product design (big plus)
