They are now seeking a skilled Senior Trading Operations Executive to play a crucial role in building out their new financial operations function here in Belfast. This is a brand new, full-time permanent job opportunity with one of the most exciting new entrants to the NI market in years.

The Role:

As the successful Senior Trading Operations Executive, you will play a key role in:

• Handling and approving payment instructions (both fiat and digital assets) raised by the trading desk - verifying payment amounts and counterparty wallet information with accuracy and diligence
• Management of the organization's cryptocurrency accounts and wallets held with custodians
• Overseeing the end-to-end payment process, including releasing funds to counterparties - while ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and due diligence procedures
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives, including streamlining workflows and driving automation to enhance operational efficiency
• Providing high-quality client service support, escalating and directing inquiries to the appropriate departments when required
• Conducting ongoing operational risk assessments and implementing effective controls to mitigate risks
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams such as business-development, technology, compliance, legal, finance, etc.
  

The Person:

The successful Senior Trading Operations Executive will meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrable experience within similar roles from banking or settlements background
• Firm understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and controls processes
• Degree-level education - preferably in Finance, Business or related field
• Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Existing understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain and regulations across jurisdictions is advantageous but not essential
• Mentorship/leadership experience within professional working environment
