Senior / Principal Python Developer

MCS Group is proud to be partnering with a global leader in the financial trading industry as they seek to recruit a Senior/Principal Software Engineer to join a new arm of their Belfast team. This company operates an award-winning asset trading and liquidity platform that manages trillions of dollars of assets across the globe! This is an amazing opportunity to join a well-established global organisation in the next phase of their Belfast expansion, working on cutting-edge, robust and high performance applications using Python, C++, Oracle, SQL and Linux.

What you'll be doing:

• Work on high-performance trading applications used worldwide to facilitate and manage financial trades using Python, C++, SQL and Linux
• Work across the full software development lifecycle - contributing to technical decisions, creating software solutions and building, delivering and maintaining trading applications used globally and internally
• Work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team

Who you are:

• 3+ years of recent experience working with Python
• Solid knowledge of working with SQL or Oracle
• Previous experience working as an individual contributor with experience across the full software development lifecycle
• If you have any experience working within FinTech or financial trading, that's a bonus!
• Ideally, you will have some team leadership or coaching and mentoring experience
