The Role
Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a background in complex ERP implementations? We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join the Equip Programme, one of the UK's largest public sector digital transformations.
This role is critical to the next phase of our journey. You will take the lead on Service Delivery and Transition. You will report directly to the Technical Work-stream Lead, ensuring that the legacy Finance, HR, and Payroll systems across 16 legal entities are successfully replaced by a modern, integrated solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Service Transition: Lead the transition of services from the project phase to the live environment.
- Release Management: Manage the complexities of a granular, phased Go-Live.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Navigate delivery challenges between internal ITS teams and external consultancy vendors.
- Governance: Ensure all change requests and technical workstreams adhere to strict HSC governance and PRINCE2/Agile standards.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience: At least 3-5 years in a project management role within a major organisation (200+ staff / £50m+ budget).
- Technical Breadth: Proven experience leading ICT projects over £100k or complex workstreams on programmes over £5m.
- Service Management: A strong understanding of ITIL (Practitioner level highly desirable).
- Systems Knowledge: Previous experience with HSC systems or Oracle ERP implementations is a significant advantage.
- Qualifications: PRINCE2 (Practitioner), AgilePM, or PMP certification is essential.
