A FinTech client based in Dublin is recruiting for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team working on large-scale, mission-critical financial systems.
This is a day-rate contract offering long-term stability, modern technology, and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a fast-moving FinTech environment.

The Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decision-making
• Build scalable, resilient microservices using modern Java frameworks
• Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and DevOps teams
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security
• Mentor junior developers and promote best engineering practices

Experience

• 7+ years' commercial experience as a Java Developer
• Strong expertise in Java (8+), Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience building microservices and RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) preferred
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Prior experience in FinTech, banking, or financial services is highly desirable

• Experience in high-throughput, low-latency systems
