Senior Azure Platform Engineer

MCS Group is working exclusively with a leading software company seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to help manage and optimise its cloud infrastructure. This role will focus on designing, maintaining, and optimising Azure environments across multiple tenants and subscriptions, ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency while supporting development teams and maintaining strong governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Azure environments across multiple tenants and subscriptions
• Deploy and maintain Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Storage, and Key Vault
• Administer Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Defender for Cloud
• Manage Intune endpoint policies and device compliance
• Implement monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
• Support governance, security controls (ISO 27001 aligned), and cost optimisation

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience managing Azure cloud environments
• Strong experience with Azure App Services and Azure SQL
• Knowledge of Entra ID, RBAC, Intune, and Azure security tools
• Experience with monitoring, scripting, and cloud governance

• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform)
