Quality Assurance Inspector

MCS Group is delighted to be working with Ireland's leading professional accountancy body who are actively seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team to cover the NI region.

The Benefits

The successful Senior Internal Auditor can expect to receive the following:

• £550 per month car allowance
• Hybrid working - Client visits / Work from home
• 23 Days (20 days annual leave and 3 concession days. This will increase by one day each year to a max of 25 days + 3 concession days.
• Non-guaranteed discretionary bonus scheme. Payment is dependent on personal performance and is not guaranteed or contractual.

The Role

You will have a wide range of duties, such as;

• Conducting monitoring visits to member firms
• Reviewing firm's processes and methodologies in relation to practicing activities
• Reviewing firm's compliance with the Institute's rules and regulations
• Critical assessment of the work carried out by practicing firms including judgements made by principals on key issues including audit, accounting, investment business and anti-money laundering issues
• Interviews with principals and other team members
• Reporting on the visit including findings and recommendations to the firms
• Adding value by making recommendations to firms aimed at improving quality

The Person

The ideal candidate will be:

• 4+ years post chartered experience.
• Extensive Audit experience
• Extensive accountancy practice experience
• Self-motivated, goal-driven, and works well with others
• Takes initiative, owns their role, and makes sound decisions
• Strong attention to detail and focus on results
• Builds strong working relationships quickly
