Project Manager - Financial services

The Role

This Project Manager role sits at the heart of a large-scale transition and onboarding programme, focused on moving clients and services onto a modern digital platform. You'll take end-to-end ownership of complex projects, coordinating multiple internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely delivery.

This is a hands-on delivery role rather than pure governance - ideal for someone who enjoys owning outcomes, managing ambiguity, and being close to execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full project lifecycle, from planning through to delivery and handover
• Act as the primary point of contact between internal delivery teams and external stakeholders
• Manage timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating where required
• Ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality, time, and scope expectations
• Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular status updates
• Support wider business initiatives including new client onboarding and growth activity

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a Project Manager or Delivery Manager role
• Background in financial services or pensions
• Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with senior and non-technical audiences
• Organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Pragmatic problem-solver who can make decisions and keep delivery moving
