Mechanical Contracts Manager (No Travel)

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a fast growth building services company based in Co. Antrim who have recently secured a flagship project in Belfast. With a strong pipeline of upcoming local work, they are seeking a talented Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team.

This is a hands-on, senior role where you'll be trusted to run projects end-to-end - managing programmes, budgets, teams and client relationships, while ensuring quality, safety and compliance are never compromised.

As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will:

• Manage mechanical contracts from tender award to completion and handover

• Act as the key point of contact for clients, consultants and design teams

• Build strong working relationships with site teams, end users and maintenance teams

• Ensure works are delivered in line with contract terms, drawings, specifications and legislation

• Take full responsibility for health & safety compliance, reporting and site standards

• Review drawings and specifications to support accurate costing and delivery

• Lead site inductions, daily briefs and toolbox talks

• Prepare and issue technical submissions, RAMS and method statements

• Manage procurement of materials, plant, deliveries and hire

• Monitor programme and performance, chair / attend progress meetings and report to stakeholders

• Oversee commissioning and testing, ensuring full records for O&M manuals

• Coordinate production of as-built drawings, building logbooks and operational guides

• Work in line with company policies, maintaining a professional and organised site environment

• Support the wider business with any additional duties aligned to your skillset

Essential:

• Trade or engineering background with minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical contracts / project management

• Strong experience in project planning, scheduling and budgeting

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services
