OD Business Partner - County Antrim
MCS Group is absolutely thrilled to be partnering with a growing manufacturing organisation based in County Antrim, who currently require an experienced OD BP on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an opportunity for the successful candidate to shape the learning & development function as the organisation continues to evolve, shaping future career paths.
The role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the OD Business Partner will partner with key stakeholders across the organisation, focused on developing growth programmes for their employees to ensure top talent is identified and developed appropriately, as well as developing best in class management development programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to attract, develop, engage, and retain talent in the organisation
- Identify leadership and specialist roles within the group and continually ensure a pipeline of talent and future leaders to succeed
- Manage company-wide learning and development strategies and programmes
- Develop and manage coaching and mentoring initiatives for key individuals and managers
- Assist with the design and implementation of an employee engagement strategy that aligns with the goals of the business
- Develop and manage career pathways within and across Group companies
- Lead the development and management of the Group Performance Management Process
- Raise the profile of the Group as an industry leader in people development
- Build and maintain awareness of best practices and new technologies to support the development of talent across the group
- Build and manage relationships with external providers of learning and development products and services
- Continuously develop strategies to communicate talent development across the group
- Tracking and Reporting: Produce regular management reports on key people metrics including retention, employee engagement, development, progression
- Supervising the wider team
Employee engagement is high on the company agenda, with the OD BP supporting on various initiatives to enhance employment engagement, acting as a true ambassador for the company values.
The successful candidate
To apply for this outstanding OD BP opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:
- 3+ years' experience working in a similar role
- Relevant 3rd Level Qualification and or CIPD qualified
- Experience in creating career pathways for early careers
- Experience of developing bespoke training, with the ability to identify knowledge gaps and develop training to address them
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ideally come from a manufacturing, although this is not essential
- A CIPD training qualification is also a desirable
