MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside our Ballymena based client, who have ambitious and exciting plans for the future; we are looking to source the best Mechanical Design Engineers on the market who are looking for a challenging and rewarding career working within the Development Engineering Team in a fast-paced environment.

Your day to day:
- Responsible for the specification, selection and integration of components and systems into new and existing designs.
- Develop and design product options in line with customer specifications.
- Produce engineering detail drawings which can be issued to manufacturing and suppliers.
- Co-ordinate with the assembly and manufacturing teams to ensure that the design is clearly defined and controlled.
- Provide system technical information and documentation for both internal and external customers.
- Provide Technical assistance to production, support engineers and the customer.
- Produce system layout drawings.
- Create Bills of Material, specifications and detailed designs.
- Produce and manage component and systems specifications.
- Support prototype build, validation and product sign off.
You will have:
- HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a number of years of Design/New product development Engineering experience, ideally in heavy engineering or automotive.
- Experience with 3D & 2D CAD and engineering report writing.
