Lead QA Engineer (Automation)

MCS Group are proud to be working with a growing SaaS organisation with a major office in Dublin as they seek an experienced QA Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

This role sits within an internal development function and the main aim is to increase overall automated testing capabilities whilst ensuring junior team members are receiving support and technological/career growth.

(Very Flexible Hybrid - Dublin)

The role

• Contribute to the design, enhancement and use of testing frameworks and processes to ensure a high-quality experience for end users
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to identify and resolve issues against product specifications, using both in-house and third-party testing tools
• Lead/Mentor the testing team and coordinate testing activities
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents, providing timely and constructive feedback
• Design, build and maintain automated test scripts

What they're looking for

• Strong understanding of, and adherence to, QA best practices and processes
• Proven experience designing and executing automated tests using Cypress and Playwright
• Hands-on experience querying and working in a Microsoft development environment (C#/.NET/Azure)
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes and implement effective resolutions
• Demonstrable experience mentoring, leading or managing a QA team.
• Right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available for this position) and happy to work in a hybrid office position in Dublin when required.
