We're recruiting for a Laboratory Services Quality Manager to lead and develop the Quality Management System across a specialist diagnostic service.
This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced quality professional to drive continuous improvement, ensure regulatory compliance and support excellence in laboratory service delivery.
The Role
As Laboratory Services Quality Manager, you will:
Lead the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory, accreditation and governance standards.
Oversee audit programmes, including internal and external audits, ensuring timely close-out of non-conformances.
Manage document control processes, SOP governance and quality documentation systems.
Provide expert advice and guidance to laboratory management and senior stakeholders on quality and compliance matters.
Lead on incident investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
Monitor quality metrics and KPIs, producing reports to inform senior decision-making.
Support inspection readiness and act as a key point of contact during regulatory visits.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality awareness and best practice across laboratory services.
You will work closely with operational, scientific and senior leadership teams to ensure services are safe, effective and aligned with strategic objectives.
Essential Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate:
Significant experience working within a laboratory quality or compliance-focused role.
Strong working knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards and regulatory frameworks.
Experience managing audits, inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
Proven ability to develop, implement and monitor quality systems and governance processes.
Excellent analytical, reporting and documentation skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a regulated, fast-paced environment.
Experience within a healthcare, diagnostic or similarly regulated scientific environment is highly desirable.
