Junior - Mid Product Engineer | AI Startup | Dublin (On-Site)

We are working with a well-funded AI startup in Dublin that is building autonomous AI agents designed to run real workflows.

The company recently raised ~$3M in pre-seed funding and is now moving quickly into build mode. The team is currently extremely small, which means every engineer joining now will have real influence on the product and how it evolves.

They are looking for a product-focused engineer who enjoys building features, shipping quickly, and working closely with founders in an early-stage environment.

This is not a research role and it is not a maintenance role. The focus is building real systems that are used by real customers.

The company works fully in-office in Dublin city centre due to the early stage and highly collaborative nature of the team.

What You'll Be Working On

You will be helping to build a production AI platform that automates operational workflows that will affect peoples lives positively.

This includes systems that handle things like patient communication, appointment coordination, triage workflows and operational automation.

Typical work will include:

• Building backend services and APIs (Python-first environment)

• Developing systems that integrate with real clinical and operational tools

• Working with LLM-powered workflows and AI-assisted automation

• Designing and implementing workflow logic and decision systems

• Shipping product features end-to-end into production

• Contributing to system reliability, logging and monitoring

• Working closely with the founders and small engineering team to iterate quickly

You will see the direct impact of the systems you build.

What They're Looking For

This role suits an engineer early in their career who wants to accelerate their growth inside a serious product environment.

Strong candidates will typically have:

• 2-5 years of software engineering experience

• Strong backend or full-stack engineering fundamentals

• Experience building real systems used by users

• Comfort building APIs, services or product features end-to-end

• Curiosity about AI and modern LLM-powered systems

• A mindset focused on building, shipping and learning quickly

• The ability to work closely with founders in a fast-moving environment

This is not a management role and it is not suited to engineers who prefer infrastructure-only or platform-only work.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Python

• Exposure to AI, ML or LLM integrations

• Experience with React or modern frontend frameworks

• Startup experience or strong side projects

Practical Details

Compensation: Up to €80,000 base plus equity
