IT Technician

We're partnering with a major transport body in Belfast to recruit an IT Technician for their integrated Information Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded professional to take ownership of a broad infrastructure environment, ranging from corporate hardware to bespoke ticketing and CCTV systems.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety. You will be part of a small, high-impact team where your work directly affects the efficiency of essential public services.

The Opportunity

You will provide end-to-end technical support for a diverse user base. Your remit will cover:

• Infrastructure Support: Installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, smartphones, tablets, and peripherals.

• Network & Systems: Supporting data/voice networks and Microsoft Office applications.

• Service Management: Coordinating the Service Desk, assigning priorities, and resolving complex queries.

• Security & Assets: Managing hardware registers and implementing anti-virus and security policies.

• User Onboarding: Setting up new accounts and providing basic training on corporate applications.

Candidate Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a strong communicator with a methodical approach to problem-solving.

Essential:

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in IT or a Business-related subject.

• 2 years of professional experience managing computer hardware and operating systems.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Highly Desirable:

• A full UK driving licence and access to a car for site visits.

• Experience with corporate networks (LAN/WAN).

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle shifting priorities.
