- Identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical IT solutions to improve workflows
- Supporting and developing the organisation's use of AI across areas such as reporting, tenders, marketing, and documentation
- Managing and maintaining databases, ensuring security, availability, and data integrity
- Supporting system integrations, including job costing and stock control platforms
- Delivering training and support to users on new systems and technologies
- Maintaining IT asset registers and managing the hardware/software lifecycle
- Supporting compliance with ISO and best-practice standards
- Providing occasional IT support to a sister company, as required
The Ideal Candidate
You will likely have:
- Experience in a hands-on IT support / IT projects / IT systems role
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
- Good stakeholder communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
- An interest in process improvement, automation, and AI adoption
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy on-site environment
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport
A third-level ICT qualification (Degree / HNC / HND or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
Working Arrangements & Benefits
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Fully on-site role due to end-user support requirements
- 30 days annual leave (15 fixed + 15 floating)
- Pension scheme
- Private healthcare
- Employee assistance programme
- Strong investment in training and professional development, particularly around AI and emerging technologies
Why Apply?
- Newly created role with genuine scope to grow
- High autonomy once established in the role
- Opportunity to shape how IT supports the wider business
- Stable organisation with long-term plans for improvement and efficiency
