IT Governance Manager

MCS Group is proud to be seeking an IT Governance Manager to join a well established, community organisation, in a role that will involve a range of skills to succeed in. You will be joining a supportive, close knit team that truly values its staff and will act as the 2^nd most senior IT leader in the team, reporting into the Head of IT, you will be predominately tasked with their Information Security but will also have a wider remit, across team management, project work and work across multiple skill sets across the team.

What in it for you?

• Hybrid working model, 2 days in the office once fully up to speed
• Salary dependant upon experience - £60k - £70k
• Performance bonus
• 20% Pension

The role

• Assess current policies and procedures, and improve these where you see fit
• Document processes, contracts, reports, and other key areas for the business
• Future proof their posture with regards to future governance regulations
• Continue a wide body of digital transformative work
• Manage the team in the Head of IT absence
• Really get to grips with the businesses needs, and meet them with technological solutions
• Ensure their accreditation will be maintained across Cyber Security Essentials, ISO27001 and ensure the highest codes of practise are followed across the organisation

Needed to succeed

• A proven ability to lead, and develop a team of IT professionals
• Evidence of solving complex business needs with technology
• In depth InfoSec knowledge - ideally having achieve accreditation in previous roles
• Financial domain knowledge would be a great advantage to have
