Interim Finance/Payroll Assistant

MCS Group is urgently seeking a Temporary Accounts (Payroll) Assistant on behalf of a key client based in South Belfast (Queen's University area)

Immediate start.

Role based fully onsite.

Both part time and full time candidates welcome to apply (minimum 3 days per week)

Temporary to permanent potential for the successful candidate.

Purpose of the role:

The role of accounts and payroll assistant is to continually provide support processing payroll, recording transactions, dealing with queries, preparing invoices and communicating with clients and members to ensure excellent service.

Accounts and Payroll duties:

1. Assist in processing of member time sheets and payroll every pay period (weekly).

2. Maintain the payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data.

3. Answering member queries in relation to their weekly payroll, holiday requests, holiday pay, maternity leave, statutory sick pay etc.

4. Responding to client queries.

5. Assist with identifying, investigating and resolving discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records.

6. Adhere to policies and procedures in line with compliance, law and regulatory bodies i.e. HMRC, RQIA, NISCC, NMC.

7. Assist with preparing, sending and storing invoices to clients and third-party vendors (suppliers).

8. Responsible for updating internal accounting databases, records and spread sheets.

9. Assist with daily credit control maintenance
