Overview

This is a great opportunity for an HR Officer or generalist to join a progressive organisation with a strong focus on sustainability and employee development. You'll become part of an established HR team, supporting operations across several locations while contributing to initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational performance.

The position offers broad exposure across core HR activities including recruitment, employee relations, reporting, and people-focused projects. It's ideal for someone who enjoys working in a varied role and building strong relationships across different teams.

The Role

Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Officer will provide operational HR support across multiple sites. You'll partner with line managers to ensure people processes are followed effectively and in line with current employment legislation.

This role involves a mix of operational and administrative responsibilities, including supporting recruitment activity, maintaining accurate HR data, assisting with employee relations matters, and contributing to ongoing HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees across multiple locations
  • Offer guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment legislation
  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns and support onboarding activities
  • Maintain employee records and update HR and time management systems
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes
  • Monitor and analyse absence trends and provide relevant reports
  • Support performance review and probationary processes
  • Compile HR data, reports, and key metrics for management
  • Contribute to employee engagement and wellbeing initiatives
  • Assist with compliance and statutory reporting requirements
  • Support learning, development, and wider HR projects as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • CIPD or relevant qualification
  • Previous experience at HR generalist level
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and NI employment legislation
  • Experience within a fast-paced environment and working with trade unions (desirable)
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Full driving licence with access to own transport
