HR Manager - Belfast - Immediate start

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, ambitious organisation entering an exciting phase of scale. As the business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and deliver the people agenda during this period of growth and transformation.

The role:

This role will take ownership of the day-to-day HR function while supporting the business through continued growth. The successful candidate will ensure smooth operational delivery of all people processes, provide practical HR support to managers, and maintain a positive, compliant, and well-structured working environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone comfortable managing operational HR responsibilities while partnering with leadership.

The main responsibilities:

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, probation, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Oversee day-to-day employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance concerns, and investigations.
  • Provide clear, practical advice to managers on employment legislation and company policy.
  • Ensure all HR documentation, contracts, and employee records are accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and business needs.
  • Manage sickness absence tracking and support return-to-work processes.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job descriptions, advertising, shortlisting, interviews, and offer management.
  • Support hiring managers with workforce planning and resource requirements.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction for new hires.
  • Support managers with performance reviews and development planning.
  • Assist in the delivery of engagement initiatives and team-based activities.
  • Maintain and optimise HR systems and employee data.

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience in a standalone or in an HR operational role.
  • CIPD Qualified.
  • Strong hands-on employee relations experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of NI employment law.
  • Available to start immediately or at short notice.
