HR Assistant - County Donegal

MCS Group is delighted to have been chosen to partner with a retail organisation, as they go through a period of growth and look to add an HR Assistant to their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The role:

The successful candidate will work as part of a team supporting the HR team and the wider organisation. The job duties include training and development, recruitment, employee relations, attendance management, and management of information systems.

The main responsibilities:

• Carry out the full administration duties within the recruitment and selection process. Including advice and guidance to line managers and participate in shortlisting and selection panels when required.
• Provide a confidential support service to the HR dept including arranging and servicing meetings and supporting Disciplinary, Grievance and Absence Management issues as required.
• Assist in the implementation of the Attendance management policy.
• Calculate employees' leave entitlements, issue annual leave cards, and maintain annual leave records.
• Provide support to the wider HR team on a full range of HR activities.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders and legislative bodies as necessary in connection with HR matters.

The ideal candidate:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR function.
• A third-level qualification or equivalent.
• CIPD level 3 or above.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of ROI legislation.
• IT literate including office packages.
• Strong customer service experience.
