This is a great opportunity for you to take the next step in your HR career, joining an award-winning public-sector client in Antrim. You will support the rest of the HR Team, to deliver high quality advice across the organisation to applicants, Managers and employees.

The role

The post holder will undertake HR projects as required, attending meetings with Managers. You will be responsible for recruitment activities, including writing job descriptions, personnel specifications and adverts as well as attending shortlisting and interviews. You will produce job offers and contracts of employment and ensure that all pre-employment checks are completed for new starters.

As the HR Advisor, you will write reports, make occupational health referrals and review sickness and other absences as required. You will respond to any HR queries, including absences, annual leave and general questions via the phone or the HR group email inbox. You will maintain records and systems, ensuring data integrity and you will also provide payroll notifications and process invoices.

The person

The HR Advisor will be solutions-focused, with the ability to work to a high degree of quality, accuracy and confidentiality. You will have strong communication skills with a good understanding of policies and procedures. To be successful you will have:

  • Level 3 or level 5 CIPD qualification, or a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience.
  • 2 years of experience of working in a people orientated role, to include problem solving.
  • Experience of dealing with challenging queries and advising internal and external customers by phone, email and in person.
  • 1 year's experience in a role that involved inputting information and producing letters, reports and other documents.

Salary: £16.37 per hour

Hours: 37 hours per week

Duration: Temporary for 3 months
