HR Advisor

The key purpose of this position is to provide day-to-day HR advisory support, advising managers, staff and colleagues in matters related to a range of HR issues.

The Role will consist of:

• Providing HR support services including ensuring the effective and efficient operation of admin function and ensuring employee information is up to date
• Assisting in the management of contracts
• Producing lettings relative to employee relations issues and attendance matters
• Provide HR advice, guidance and coaching where relevant
• Advise on areas of policy, procedure and best practise taking into account relevant employee law/best practise
• Assisting with recruitment where necessary
• Promote a positive working and organisational environment through regular and constructive consultation, communication, and engagement activities
• Take part in change projects within the HR function and provide specialist HR input into the people strategy and business development plans as required

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• Hold associate membership or higher (CIPD) and at least 6 months experience in a HR Function
• OR
• Have a minimum or 1 years' experience working in a HR function and be willing to gain a CIPD qualification
• Have experience providing support across a range of HR issues
• Have experience working in a unionised environment
• Be competent in the use of MS word and Excel
